Motorola V220 unlocking user code

Hello,

I need some help retrieving the user code and security code for a Motorola V220 & can it be done from the phone's keypad?

Their are two codes for the handset.

Unlock code which opens the handset to use on all networks. This code is only available from your operator.

The security code that you can activate to stop other users from putting in their own sim card {on the same network}.
This is preset to something like 0000 or 12345 and can be changed by the owner. If you forget this then the only way to overide it back to default is by having it flashed, although you will lose downloaded data by this process.
