Android pay as you go question

Hi all

I am wanting to get my mam a mobile phone for Christmas. She does not want a contract and she is happy with a pay as you go sim. If i got her one of these and she connected through her wi-fi at home. Will she be able to use apps such as Whatsapp to send free text if she is on a pay as you go or does she need a contract tariff to do things like that?

thanks

chris

No you don not have to pay any sort of extra tariff for using the apps that are for free. If the app is costing something than you will have to pay for that only. But no charge for using it will be applicable.
