Siemens U600 - contact deletion problem

Something rather curious has happened - out of nowhere, a contact titled simply as 'No name' with a number consisting of all 8's and 7's has appeared in my contact list on my U600, and I am unable to delete/edit it - anybody know where this has appeared from and how it might be deleted?

Normally this happens due to accidental button presses in your pocket.

Go into the security menu and disable the security which should then allow you to delete the contact.

If not try a factory restore or have the fone flashed to delete this but beware to make backups as this process would also delete all the other downloaded data.

I'm not sure whether that's the case - it actually looks like an existing number has edited itself; a number appears in the phonebook, but if you attempt to edit it, the entry is blank; I don't run PIN-protection or anything, so there's no security options I can disable to attempt to delete the erroneous entry - is there any way of removing it without doing a factory reset?

Also probably worth noting that the autosearch function in my phonebook doesn't work beyond the letter 'N' - that's to say, from the 'No name' entry onwards, if you want to jump to entries beginning O, P, Q etc. it won't do it.

Reset needed?
