This is me first post here, So hello everyone..
I came here to see if I could find the answer to my troubles with a p520

I baught a p520 a week or so ago, The guy told me it was unlocked, But later on I found out it was not unlocked, and locked to 02, So anyway i wanted to get it unlocked, so I went to an online unlocking company with my IMEI number - 2 days later they get back to me with the codes and how to do it, Cool, I tryed doing the steps they told me but did not work,,, I have the codes, But have no idea how and where to put the codes in, with or with out a locked sim. Ive talked to the company, and they have were realy nice about it, they gave me like 8 diff ways to do so, But still no luck, I kinda feel bad asking them again and again, so thats why I thoaught i dd post here, Even though they are still trying to help

So if anyone can guide me, Or understands what im tryna say, Please help, I dd be thankful

Thannk you for your time.

Welcome to the forum.

Unfortunatly lots of people have had issues when 'purchasing' the unlock codes for handsets to allow them to be unlocked to all networks.

Their are actually 4-5 unlock codes per handset.

The best way is to get the code from the network provider your handset is on. But either the contract must be up or at least 3 months on a pay as you go. You also must be a registered customer on their network.

Also an admin fee of approx £15-£20 will be probably payable.

I see lots and lots of people of who have paid for codes, softare, cables etc from website companies will little or no effect ! Ask for a refund.

If you purchased the handset from an 02 outlet then it will be locked, probably branded and installed with 02 software , which in some instances can cause issues when putting in a rivals sim card.
Visit the store and argue your point of mis information.

if you purchased it privatley then your stuck unless it was from auction sites such as e bay. If purchased thro paypal then instigate a dispute.

I always purchase my handsets from a retail company called carfone Warehouse as they simply just marry up the sim with the handset which results in no branding, no imposed software and more importantly they are unlocked to ALL networks.

Good luck.
