Healthier ?

Its more true that due to constant movement slide fones do suffer from breakdowns like blank screens.

Now manufacturers are all investing in the slide fone the choice is wide.

Samsung are still king at slide fones.

One fone I have been looking at is the Nokia 8800 arte but its not available to most poeples pockets as its on payg at £700 or around £400+ on contract ?

Well I'm a Nokia phone so I would choose this model !

In the end its down to personal taste as both are good handsets.

Visit www.cnet.com for really good editor and user reviews.

Good luck with your choice.

Lightbulb

If you want 'healthy' phones do you mean low radiation? I don't think sliders are any more healthy in that respect. All phones kick out loads of radiation. Some people think that using a wired headset helps, others link that can make it worse.

If coverage is poor the phone emits more radiation to hang on to the signal so avoid making long calls on the phone in poor reception areas if you're health conscious.

To really find a more 'healthy' phone You need to check out the SAR value for the phone you want to buy. SAR is a measure of the radiation the phone will emit into your body. Manufacturer's are obliged to provide this info, but it's not usually well advertised by them. Most operators will have a list of SAR values online or in store.

As for sliders and easy to use phones I would consider the W910i. In my humble opinon SonyEricsson are the easiest to use phones on the market and the W910i won phone of the year at Feb's Mobile World Congress (The big annual industry conference held in Barcelona).

The W910i has got 9/10 on GadgetStylist from user reviews.
GadgetStylist.com | SonyEricsson W910i

It's got decent sized buttons, loads of memory, headphones in the box and looks pretty cool. If it wasn't for my iPhone I'd have one right now!

Hope that helps!
