If itís about games and software , Playmarket , makes backup automatically after you enter your Google Account on the mobile device. If I donít want to lose your personal media (like photos, videos and favorite music) I keep it on Google Photos and Dropbox, which is very convenient Ė you donít have to restore anything if you reboot your device and youíll get access to your files wherever you are.

first you have to sync your contacts with your google account, after doing that when you enter your google account details in another phone, all your contacts would be restored.

As I know, the easy way to backup and restore Android contents is using Android mobile manager tool. With its help, you can easily transfer all data on Android phone to computer for backup. After that, you can directly restore from backup you have taken before with its help. You don't need to root your Android phone, you just need to enable USB Debugging on it.
