N95 8GB or great deal on the LG Viewty

I've got a choice between a Viewty or an N95 8GB. Now normally I wouldn't blink before picking the N95 and I was about to leave my current network to get one when they offered me a deal on the Viewty, the other phone I was interested in.

What it breaks down to, in cash terms, is that I save £100 over an 18 month contract (once I'd bought a memory card for the Viewty) and the hassle of switching networks. Also the new network I'd be going to is Three, and I've heard they have dodgy coverage in some areas. I'm currently on T-Mobile who don't do the N95 8GB, and I've heard the original N95 is sluggish and somewhat buggy.

Besides making calls I use a phone primarily for surfing the internet and playing music. Secondary considerations are playing games and a good camera. Anything else (PDA functions, the GPS on the N95) is just window dressing.

Primary areas of concern are:
* Stability & responsiveness of OS - I believe the Viewty scores well here
* Free Software - the N95 obviously wins here. I've no idea if the Viewty can run free Java apps, or whether free java apps are easy to come by.
* Camera - looks like the Viewty has a slight edge
* Music quality - no one seems able to make a direct comparison here
* Battery life - Neither is great, but will do for me. I read somewhere that the N95 won't charge through a USB, which would be an immense pain for me. Anoyne know if the viewty can charge through USB?
* I make very occasional use of a mobile phone text editor to keep notes on. The N95 will obviously have something like this - does the Viewty have one?

In short, I'm seriously tempted by this deal. But I'd like to hear from people who've had experience of one or both phones. Or indeed, people who've had problems with Three as a network.

BTW, because of my contract details, I have to say yes or no to this deal tomorrow lunchtime, so swift responses much appreciated!
