Samsung G600 - portrait/landscape view
Hi
I just received a new Samsung G600 yesterday, from Virgin Mobile. I wanted a nice camera phone, that's quad band, as I'm going to a conference in America soon and I wanted to be able to use it there and take pix. It's my first cameraphone and a replacement for my very old motorola flip phone that is v. basic. Anyway, the G600 seems lovely, but there's some sort of glitch with the camera, and the user guide is... useless. The camera seems to be stuck in landscape mode, and there doesn't seem to be any way to get back to portrait. It did work in portrait for the first couple of snaps, but then I thought I'd try a landscape, and the manual just said turn it to the left to get landscape, which I did, and took a photo... and now, no matter what I do, it won't return to portrait, and the user guide has virtually no instructions for the camera and doesn't tell you how to get back to portrait. I would imagine it should do it automatically when you hold the camera in portrait mode again... but that doesn't seem to be happening. Has anyone else experienced this? And did you find a way to fix it? Or get an answer from Samsung or your phone company? Many, many thanks in advance for any help or guidance on this... All the best Wendy |

the only good thing on the g600 is the camera, and even that is s*** compared to some other phones, you should have got a k850 / LG viewty / N95, even the nokia N73 produces better pics than the g600, the g600 is a flashy phone, not performance

Don't worry, fudgey. It's going back to Virgin Mobile for a full refund.
Will check out your alternative suggestions. I liked the look of the Viewty, but wasn't sure whether it'd work in the US. I'm going there for a conference soon, and that's what the phone's for, mainly. Cheers Wendy |
