Nokia C3-01 fault

Hi all

I know it's an old model, but we have a Nokia C3-01 that as from yesterday has no display working at all. We have put the sim into a spare handset and have the contacts. What we don't have are the text history and photos.

Do you think it is a failed display screen, or something else?
Is there any way to recover texts and photos?

Thanks, your advice will be appreciated.

Hi,

The photos will be in the phones gallery / photo app not the SIM card. You could try hooking it up to a computer using the data cable and either use some form of relevant Pc suite or see if the phones files show up as an external drive and drag and drop your photos from there to the Pc.

For future it would be beneficial to use some form of iCloud to store your photos and or use a Sd card if applicable to the phones you use or use an app called Dropbox if the phone will allow it.

Unfortunately some feature phones won't allow the above so a smartphone is required.

You could try a hard reset but please be aware this could delete your saved information and data.

If that fails then yes it could be hardware issues.

Check if any manufacturer warranty is still available on the phone.

If not you'd have to weigh up the cost of repair to how much the phone is worth.

Could be time to let it go to Nokia heaven and treat yourself to a new phone.
