New Phone

Hi everyone, I would like some advice for my next phone, I have a Samsung D900 and was thinking about the Samsung G600 or the Nokia 6500, any other suggestions?
I am looking for a phone with a decent camera for less than £150.

Both fones you mention are solid handsets although I'm somewhat biased towards Nokia.

Take into account that their are some good highstreet retailers that sell used handsets with warranties.

Pm me if you would like the name of the one I use.

Carfone warehouse do some good deals as sim free which are unlocked to all networks and sometimes are cheaper on payg which are also unlocked.

Thanks! I do prefer the samsungs camera but the nokia does have carl zeiss optics. Although the nokia is quite chunky, but it has a proper auido jack. I am on payg with o2 but I am thinking of changing to vodafone .
What is it about the nokia that you prefer?

Good battery life.
Solid build quality.
Both s40 and s60 have easy to use menus.
Specs are rich.
2yr limited warranty.
Very good at hanging onto signal strength.
Easy to update software , either free update under warranty or if supported by way of the updater on Nokia - Nokia on the Web

Thanks very much for the info, you have been EXTREMELY helpfull. I'm still stuck though . I think I will decide when I next go to the phone shop as I can then feel them in my hand to see if I like them. I have read detailed reviews on both of them and they both seem like good phones. I have never tried Nokia, neither Sony Ericsson or LG, although I know I would'nt buy a Sagem or Motorola phone again!!
Anyway, thanks for the helpful advice!

I need a new phone quick after my nokia 5300 broke i am strongly thinking about buying a sony ericsson mainly for its music capabilities and i was just wondering what use taught

If music is your main reason for choice then se are king in this field.

Just choose the newest handset your pocket can afford.

Cheers however i heard that the w910i has problems also what is the newest se phone out for 200-250 quid or less

Samsung SGH-G600
Score: 9.2 out of 10 based on reviews from 69 sources in 15 countries.

Nokia 6500
Score: 9.1 out of 10 based o reviews from 35 sources in 17 countries.

So as you can see yourself the best score has the first one.
As for me - I'm totally agree with the crowd, anyway it's up to you

I have decided to get the Samsung G600. Thanks very much to everyone for all your help! I went to the store today to pick up my G600, when I noticed it had been reduced to £99.99 in the O2 store, and so I went in and just as I was about to pay, the person helping me at the counter says, oh wait this one is pink. So she checks the stock and says it is the only one the have, so I ended up walking home empty handed.
I am hoping to get the phone on Sunday, and hopefully they will have stock, if not, I shall probably just go to another retailer.
