Cool

You can et in unlocked at a mobile store for a little bit of money, or if your phone was bought at a retailer such as The Carphone Warehouse, it is most likely already unlocked.

Yes Carfone Warehouse simply 'marry up ' a sim card with the handset meaning they are unlocked, although I suspect you have found out the handset is locked due to inserting another networks sim to find an error on the handsets screen.

Normally you would have to contact the original network to request the code for unlock, and pay an admin fee. But you would have to be a customer on that network with either the contract term elapsed or 3 months gone on a payg.

The advice to visit a shop is probably the best course of action for you. As the fone has been on the market for a time now most market traders will be able to unlock.

If the fone is imei locked then the lock will not be removed as this has been enforced by the network due to fraud or theft.

Also when the original network purchase the handset off the manufacturer they impose their own software, which can sometimes conflict with your new chosen network.

Good luck.
