Sony Ericsson W580 & "Disc2Phone"

Recently baught this phone, but having trouble with the Disc2Phone application. When i load the PC suite, it shows my phone is connected, but when i load the Disc2phone application it doesnt show any phone as being connected. After visiting the carphone warehouse, reinstalling the application, rebooting my computer and disconnecting and reconnecting the phone many times, nothing has helped. Anyone have any ideas?

You have already actioned what you need to do try and resolve your issue obviously with no success !


Is their a connectivity section in the menu of the fone as sometimes their is an option of usb or data you need to choose.

What are you wanting to achieve with the suite ?

The reason I ask is that its not always necessary to have this connected for data movement.

Im trying to transfer music to the phone using the Disc2Phone program, and the phone is in file transfer mode.

The phone itself is connected, as i can see in the PC suite, but it doesnt register in the program.

Why not just connect using the data cable which will then show in your computer as an external hard drive and then just drag and drop.
