Refurbished cell phones
Well, the other day my friends cell phone just stopped working. She thought the battery was dead so she charged it overnight but it still didn't work. We had the same cell phone, so I used my charger, thinking that maybe her charger was messed up or something. And I noticed that the phone was starting to get hot, only a minute or so after it had been hooked up. So she took the phone in to get fixed and the guy told her that it was a refurbished phone and it that he couldn't fix it. She didn't know this she thought the phone she bought was brand new. She just had the phone for a little less than a year.
Has anyone had an experience like this? Or have you ever bought a refurbished phone? |

Yes, it's horrible what refurbished phones can do. You'd think they are brand new being as good as shape as they are, but there is no cell phone insurance or policy for refurbished phones, as they were defective phones before they were fixed.

Yeah and what makes it worse is that she wasn't even informed that it was refurbished when she bought it. I think they should've told her about it but instead they just sold it to her like it was no big deal.

Well, she already turned it in and bought a new phone. What does it mean when you get your phone flashed? I don't know if that would've helped or not, the phone was heating up, so maybe the insides of the phone couldn't be fixed. I don't know.
