I need some assistance...
...In choosing a phone.
I am not, and never have been for that matter hugely into phones so I will not be giving myself unlimited funds. I would like to spend between; £50-£100. I WOULD like a camera, preferably with at least 2mpx. As for music, I am not really that bothered, that's what my touch is for. My phone will simply be used for phoning, texting and maybe taking a few pictures. I honestly don't want needless ammounts of fancy accessories, I probably wont use them. I WOULD however like a nice looking phone. I am not after a brick here. Thank you gentlemen, I look forward to your prompt reply |

Can you be more specific about your likes and dislikes to help narrow down the options?
Do you like slide phones, clamshell phones, basic bar type phones ? Do you have a specific manufacturer you would prefer ?
Do you want a pay as you go or a contract phone ? Do you have an existing network you would like to stay with or preference because of local reception ??? The answers to these questions and any other info would be helpful if you want more targeted and useful advice |

an example,
If you wanted an LG handset i would advise either the The LG KC550 Orsay or The LG Shine. The camera is better on the Orsay so i immagine that would suit you better but it is at the top end of your budget. on the other hand from Sony's offerings i would advise probably The Sony Ericsson K800i or The Sony Ericsson K770i, Again with these two the design would probably be the deciding feature? |

I agree.
Their are lots of choices open to you which are dependant on if your looking at a contract deal or payg. Contract handsets are much more subsidised so normally a richer spec/newer fones are available. Also look at 2nd hand fones. Outlets such as www.cex.com are a highstreet store that have a good choice. Also Carfone Warehouse provide a much richer choice and sometimes offer a handset that the network shops dont supply. They are also typically unlocked so you can use other sims, even with payg deals. Good luck with your eventual choice.
