MDA Touch

A few months ago I bought the HTC Touch in black and the housing has a few scratches and marks on it so I would like to get a new one in white, My problem is the housing that I am looking at has different shaped buttons to mine....

This is what my phone looks like:

and this is what a regular white HTC Touch looks like:

Notice how the buttons on the 2nd one are different to mine?

This is the replacement housing and buttons I was looking at:

Housing:
touch-04 HTC Touch OEM white faceplate set- Samsung, SonyEricsson, 3G, Microsoft, Panasonic, Alcatel, Nokia, Accessories Sto

Buttons:
HTC Touch OEM 5 way navigation button - silver- BlackBerry, Samsung, Accessories Store, Sony, Tools, Nokia, SonyEricsson, LG, Mo

So What I want to know is if this housing and buttons would fit my phone?

Hi Daytona Mike,

Sorry if you think your being ignored !

The first thing you need to look at is the operation of actually switching the covers. If they are not 'express' covers then the device is designed to have this done by a trained engineer.

Some of the reasons are :

Doing this yourself will invalidate any warranty.
You could damage some of the internal boards.
You will introduce dust into the handset causing other issues.

If it has 'express' style covers then I always go for original accessories as this ensures a true fit and quality. You tend to find that 3rd party accessories are not a snug fit and of poorer quality.

Again apologies for the belated reply.
