Thumbs up

Hi,

Remember to speak to Orange's retension Team before just signing up again in order to try and receive a 'better' deal in terms of handset upgrade cost, line Rental and amount of mins/texts you receive.

Nokia n96

5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss & Tessar optics.
Talktime: 150 minutes (3G) - 220 minutes (2G)
Battery standby: 200 hours
Size: 103 x 53 x 20 mm
Weight: 125g

Blackberry curve 8900.

3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash, image stabilisation and 2x digital zoom.
Talktime: 5.5 hours
Battery standby: 356 hours.
Size: 109 x 60 x 13.5 mm
Weight: 110g

So if it was just down to camera spec's the Nokia would be the choice.

Obviously its not just down to the camera !

Other included specs that play a part in your lifestyle and the asthetics also play an important role. The overall 'feel' of the handset.

Battery life as no juice means no fone...lol !
Do not go by the manufacturers times as these are optimium times in the very best conditions. Serach for peoples personell reviews of these handsets to see how they felt. Outlets such as carfone Warehouse have working demo models to play with instore. Just go in and ask. I do it all the time, although they dont have every model open to demo.

Their is not much in size and weight.

I have used the n96 and find it a pleasant handset to use. Menu and navigation is clean and crisp.

Or perhaps when you do upgrade the n97 will be available.
Previews are available on u tube. Take a look as it does look awesome.

I have not used the Blackberry 8900 but have had a demo of the storm.
In past history the Blackberry series was reserved for the business user but more recently it has become trend for the man off the street to have. The specs have always been understated on this handset range.

In my humble opinion both handsets are top spec and are must have handsets at this time.

If it was my personal choice then I would choose Nokia.
This is because Nokia provide a limited 2year warranty which includes free software updates. A Nokia suite for back up and easy transfer of data. And to be honest ive always chose Nokia after trying all the other manufacturers. Its just my choice for my reasons !

You must follow your own gut feeling !

Please let us all know which you opted for and why and prehaps give a pro and con of the handset after a weeks use or so ?
