Need help. Storm, Omnia, or G1?

Hello everybody,

I've had my phone for two years now at verizon and am eligible for an upgrade there.

I could use everyone's opinion so whoever would like to reply I would appreciate the input.

Alright, out of the phones Verizon has I think the Blackberry Storm and the Samsung Omnia look really cool.

Yeah, the touch/click on Storm is different but I played with it for a minute today and it didnt seem too bad but I dont know if I played with it longer if my opinion would change about it.

The Omnia doesnt have the click/touch, but it can turn on it's side and it does have the vibration (if I remember reading correctly, I havent actually played with it at all). On the other hand, I've read a lot of complaints about windows mobile. It seems like the vast majority of comments I read about it are unfavorable. For anyone that's had a chance to check out windows mobile, what exactly are the problems with it? Are there ways to fix these problems?

I've also been thinking of getting a new plan. My first choice was the iphone cause for any faults it has it still seems really cool. But AT&T doesnt service my area. So then I thought about G1. Android seems cool, I dont know too much about it, but the fact that its really open sounds like it has a lot of potential. But the physical design seems kinda lame, I dunno. I like that it has a qwerty but the buttons didnt seem to feel very raised from the surface.

So what do you guys think? Do you think those are good phones to choose from or do you think I should look into other phones entirely? If those are good phones which do you think is all around the best?

I don't do a crap load of txts but I do txt sometimes. My main things are call function/quality, internet browsing, multimedia and apps (I dont know what apps and games are available for each but I'd like to be able to play games and other apps on it)

I know this is a long post but thanks for reading and any feedback you could give.

I look forward to your replies.

All the best,

Robert

RE: Need help. Storm, Omnia, or G1?

Hey Robert.

I was in the samesituation 2 weeks ago but I decided to get the Samsung i900 Omnia 6.1 windows mobile. This was because I use MSN and word a lot. But the main reason I bought it was for it's simplicity of use e.g. 8gb interna memory, 5 megapixel camera, on screen qwerty keyboard with 5 layouts, to make an email or text just add or remove the subject, traditional menu which isn't on any other windows mobile. Hope this was helpfull
