N96 Broken Already

Ok, So i'v owned my Nokia N96 for just under 2 months now, and its broken already, the keypad no longer lights up, red and green buttons work once a day or something ridiculous like that, and the number keys are becoming unresponsive. What should i do ?

To give you a bit of background information, i purchased the phone from my local Phones4u, got it free on an 18 month contract with orange, paying £40 a month, i didnt take out insurance though.

Thankyou to anyone who takes the time to read this, any replies would be helpful.

Thanks, Rob

If I was you I would be on my way to a Phones4u store and demanding a replacement. That is unless it looks like it's been dropped several hundred times in which case I wouldn't waste my petrol. Bottom line is, you don't buy a phone with the expectation of it developing faults 2 months later. Insurance or no insurance, don't take no for an answer!

Nokia provide a limited 2 year warranty.

Take the handset with your reciept to your local carfone warehouse{with a repair centre in it}. They will carry out the spring clean or repair in house or send it to Nokia. This would take approx 14 days'ish.

It does not matter that you didnt buy it from them as they would charge Nokia for the work

Check out Nokia - Nokia on the Web or www.carfonewarehouse to check if your local shop has a repair centre in it.

Sorry if I'm too late, but if you can, back up all your data before sending it as they will probably wipe it clean and do a full system update. They did it with mine but luckily I had backed everything a gd few months back and had still got most things.

And while I'm comenting on this,

does anyone know if for example, I backed up my nokia n958gb data on the computer, could I restore that data on a later nokia n series handset? Cheers,
