Should I get the INQ1?

Ive been looking at this phone 4 some time and I want to buy it although i have a few concerns.
After talking through live chat on the 3 site i have found out that basically 4 me il have it on pay as u go but itl cost me £10 a month.

That £10 will let me:
Have unlimited MSN use

Then out of that £10 I will get the £5 internet add-on which lets me:
2gb use of internet (facebook, stream music, web browsing etc) I can also use google maps so itl b a mapping device aswell.

Then I will have £5 left which I can use for calls and texts at a flat rate of 12p so itl b around 20 texts 20 mins depending on usage.

The phone itself is £88 although I may be able 2 get a discount if I tried I have put the link below:
Welcome to Pay As You Go > Shop

OK enough rambling, my question is whether a tenner a month is worth it and whether the phone as a whole is good??

Also is anyone who owns the phone actually happy with it, ive seen so many problems but nothing positive??

Thanks

BTW: I cant get contract because my parents wont pay £15 a month and any money i do recieve i dont tell them about so i can only use pay as u go so i can topup using vouchers.

Hi,

Have you entered a 3 Store to ask to try out a working demo model so you can see if this is the fone for you.

The only thing that concerns me about the 3 network is their network coverage, and tendancy to have dropped calls due to this.

So if you go for the payg option you would be looking at ;

£.88.00 for the handset.
£180.00 for your initial outlay over 18 months on payg.
----------------------------------------------
£268.00 for a 18 month span.
-----------------------------------------------

I dont see 20 texts or 20 mins calls lasting you so if you need to top up lets say £10 a fortnight that would be another £90.00 over the 18 months making your outlay £358.00.

Purchased on a 18 month contract you would get unlimited texts and internet & 75 minutes anytime, any network. No cost for the handset.

18 month contract £270 which means you spend £88.00 less.

Although i have not allowed if you go over the 75 minutes and incur more call charges !

I can understand why your parents dont want to place you on a contract as 18 months is a long term commitment.

The fone itself looks good with good specs and users reviews on the whole are ok, although most mention the need to charge the battery everynight ,but this can be said of most fones these days and does not allow for the initial playing with and setting up of their new fone which always drains the battery quickly.

It has No Wi-Fi and No 3.5mm headphone socket so you would be stuck with the supplied set. The battery life looks strong at 327 hours talktime and 5.4 hours standby time, although these are quoted by 3 and will be at optimum conditions so do not rely on these 100%.

3 mp camera is ok for the camera although this would not really be good enough if you intend to print these.

50 mb internal storage is decent with the option of expanding.

Thanks a lot, I have no chance of getting the phone on contract but I will use this phone a lot 4 msn and web browsing. Plus some months I rarely call and text while in others I can go for ages, in the end PAYG will be better because it rolls on plus I cant go over the limit. Does anybody have any voucher codes by any chance?

Thanks again
