Nokia Music crashes with 64-bit Vista

Experienced quite a negative surprise with my new Nokia music phone: Nokia Music software crashes with 64-bit Windows Vista.

Nokia is not going to fix this problem and neither do they inform the phone buyer about the problem.

As I bought the phone for music purposes, the problem is so serious that the only alternative is to return the phone to the seller.

A word of caution: Do not buy a Nokia music phone if you are using the 64-bit Windows Vista operating system.

I use the 32 bit Vista with no issues.

Have you tired deleting the nokia Pc suite and try again.

Ensure your pc is clean too.

You should not encounter this issue at all.

Compatability should not be an issue.

I was referring to problems with Nokia Music, not the PC suite.

Nokia Music works ok with the 32-bit Vista, but for some reason not with my 64-bit version.

The machine is clean, installation with admin rights, etc etc

Don't wanna waste any more time on this so I just forget Nokia for now.

I may have a fix for the problem. Noticed that the Nokia Music site doesn't function properly with all browsers, but the 32-bit IE7 it worked ok.

So I thought that the problem may be browser related. Installed the old browser on my 64-bit Vista, gave it all default browser rights, but kept Firefox as my default browser.

Now Nokia Music does not crash and I still got to keep my favourite browser.

Darn, just couldn't let go of it.
