Help needed with LG KC550
My LG has started playing up and I have been advised that it needs flashed. In the past I have managed to do a variety of repairs on different models but this isn't something I've come across.
I'd like to try and do it myself so could anyone help me out and tell me exactly what I will need and how to do this?
Thanks in advance
Their are two types of updates.
Firmware flash and software update.
The software update normally cures bugs , implements slight app improvements and streamlines the handset to work it more quickly.
A firmware update affects the os sytem again to tweak it.
Software updates for Nokia Handsets can be actioned via the Nokia pc suite and the updater on the Nokia Website if your handset is supported.
Some handsets have this facility built into them for example my Nokia 8800 arte has this facility under the phone settings.
In the Uk outlets such as Carfone Warehouse will actiona software update for free under the handsets warranty, even if the handset was not purchased from them as long as you can show proof of purchase.
Alternatively either them or a cellfone shop can do this for a nominal fee.
Ensure you make a backup of your data on the fone as this update would delete this.
