Problems with my Samsung J700

Ok - I tried to download a french dictionary for my phone. It didnt go very well.

I have a Samsung J700. Once I downloaded the dictionary, It came in the form of a word document...? with lots of squiggles etc. Meaningless as far as I could see. Its too big to fit onto my phone anyway - I have everything cleared off my phone but theres just not enough memory. My questions are:

1. Is there any way to delete mms templates on the phone, because they are pretty useless anyway and they would give me enough room

2. Is it likely that I will need something else other than a word doc?

Anyway thanks

Hi,

I do not have this fone so I cannot look into the menu,

I would suggest that if you cannot manually delete them from your menu then they are set within the software.

Then you may be able to have the software updated without the templates. This could be done by an engineer at a repair centre or standalone cellfone shop.

This fone is not a smartfone and therfore is only meant for simple texting/sms etc and is not pdf supported. therefore i would think it hard to find any kind of file that would support a dictionary sized file.

My suggestion is to 'google' for any available information on this.

Best of luck.

Improvement

Ok I got a jar. file - so I thought - Sucess!

Sadly no...

First I tried putting it directly onto my phone, but as soon it got to 99% It said unknown error. I then tried opening the jar. file on my computer and there was that error sound, but with no error message...?

Any ideas? Thanks
