Problem with my Sony W395

Hi there, don't know if anybody can suggest help with my new phone. It is the Sony W395 Walkman. I'm not too technically minded, but thought I would try and get myself a bit more up to date.

The problem is that I have downloaded a load of music to my phone, and I can see via the File manager that is on the memory card, but whenever I go into the Wakman option they are not there to choose to play, hope that makes sense. I'm sure it is probably something very simple, but I haven't a clue.

Any suggestions?

Ensure the music is in the correct format that the fone can read.
Check this out in the manual that came with the fone.

Try this.

To create a playlist:
  1. From standby, select 'Menu' > WALKMAN.
  2. Select 'Options' > My music > My playlist.
  3. Highlight New playlists and select 'Add'.
  4. Give the playlist a name, and select 'OK'.
  5. Highlight Music, and select 'OK'
  6. Now you can choose the music you want. Highlight the track you want, and select 'OK'.
  7. Select the songs you want for your playlist.
You have now created a playlist.

Thanks for the reply. It did let me create a new playlist, but despite choosing certain albums to add to it, when I go to view the play list all it has on it are the Sony files used for the ring tones and not the album I've chosen. Will persevere though as I'm sure I'm nearly there.

Thanks for your help
