Question lost phone

I have lost my phone and have stopped the sim from being used, but they also said no one would be able to use the phone either, is there any way that I can find out my phone is being used, I have the serial number so does anyone know of a website that can find out if a mobile is being used by typing the serial number in? Is that possible?

Yeah, this is possiable. the serial number is whats known as the IMEI number. Go to www.Immobilise.com register your mobile and it will block the whole phone and not just the sim card.
