Looking for a phone that suit me best...
right now i have the lg env2 on verizon. it's a cool phone and all, but i've had it for awhile now and i want something different. i don't see anything i really like on verizon right now, but i did find two phones on at&t that i think might be worth the switch over. i've had the env2 phone for close to a year now, so how much would it cost to switch over to AT&T(i was on it prior to being on verizon, if that makes a difference)?
anyway, one of the phones is the Pantech Matrix Pro, and the other is the Samsung Impression. but i'm kinda stuck and can't decide which.
i like the Matrix Pro because of the dual sliding, and it has some cool features. i know it's kinda on the thick side, but that wouldn't really bother me much. but does anyone here have the phone? would you recommend it? also, does it have like a notepad program? what about the features, like XM radio, AOL Messenger, and mobile email, etc? do you have to pay extra per month to use those?
i also like the Samsung Impression because it looks like a slick, thin phone, and it's got a touch screen. plus the 3mp camera. i'm not too sure about the features it has though, does anyone here own one of these? what could you tell me about it?
overall, which would you recommend? for durability, function, and features? i like to listen to music alot, play games occasionally, maybe watch a video or two, take pictures/videos, and possibly browse the web/check email(if it's cheap enough and doesn't cost much extra). so which would be the better phone for me(doesn't have to be one of the phones above, could be something else from a different provider/company/etc...)?
okay so basically, what i want to know is what are some phones that i could look into that would suit me best, considering what i mainly do/would want to do with my phone?
some features/things i would want in a phone are:
durability/functionality(no major freezing problems/etc)
good music player(transfers music easily, and ability to make playlists, plus headset jack)
good video quality(and i go on youtube alot, so it would be awesome if i could on my phone)
at least a 2mp camera with ability to take video
possibly browse the web/check email/instant messaging(all, if it's cheap enough and doesn't cost much extra)
maybe a nice notepad/word program
plus decent battery life, and something that slide/flips open and has a keyboard.
i just read that the Impression has a problem with freezing when sending texts, and I read that the Pantech Matrix Pro isn't really customizable. can anyone confirm/deny these?
if anyone could help out, i would greatly appreciate it!!!!!!!

well actually, i read that people were having problems sending texts on the Samsung Impression using the T9 thing i think. according to some other reviews, not everyone was having problems with it freezing though. some people said they sent text messages alot with the phone and never had it freeze up or anything. do you think it could be a problem with the area they live in?
in any case, i'm probably just gonna go with the Impression. i really like the look and some of the features. under the specs on a couple websites, it says you can customize it with themes(Wallpaper, background, custom menus/popups, icons and more). do you know if it has some of the music features, like customizable equalizer, streaming radio, ability to create playlists, and a visualizer like the LG Xenon has?
i was also thinking about a blackberry, either the Bold, or the Curve. a couple other phones i was looking into are the Samsung Epix(i like the optical mouse thing), the Propel Pro, the HTC Fuze, and Palm Pre. but i would want unlimited data, and with smartphones that would be around 89 bucks a month, which is just too much. with the Impression, the plan and features i want is only 69 bucks a month. 20 bucks is alot, fills up more than half a tank of gas in my car... i don't know if any of those phones have wifi, i didn't check, but where i live there aren't many wifi hotspots or anything, the only place i could use that is my house...
ultimately, I'm probably gonna go with the Impression. unless there are any other good phones i missed. or if anyone could give insight to the other phones i mentioned(i like the Propel Pro, HTC Fuze, and the Samsung Epix the most out of those, would anyone recommend those?)...
actually i think i might get the HTC Fuze, i found it on a website, and with unlimited data, 200 txt msgs(i i checked my sent box on my phone now and i actually don't text too often), and 450 minutes, it comes out to 75 a month, and i would be paying 200 bucks right now to buy it. is that a good deal? it's on the LetsTalk.com website. i read that you can do alot of stuff with HTC phones, like flash them(i don't know how, but i will find out, if it makes it faster), and a bunch of other stuff, so this phone sounds good to me.
what do you think? is that a good deal? should i do it?
