Nokia 5800

Hi!

I'm looking at getting a new phone, my HTC S730 (QWERTY keyboard WM6) is getting torn.

I was surfing arround and everyone seems to be in love with the Sony Ericsson X1, or the Android OS - along with Apple's iPhone. And if you meantion "smartphone" those are the ones that will be suggested.

However, I found that Nokia has their phone 5800 which runs Symbian and offers a touch screen. And is indeed a smartphone, even if its not marketed as such it seems.

In tests it kicks the iPhone's ass, and even the HTC Dream in featurues, screen and battery. And it's users say its a really nice phone - adding it's $200 cheaper.

However I was just wondering, as the phone is like 6 months old - should I get myself a 5800 or wait? I read that theyre not longer shipping a desktop loader with it after July 1 so I was thinking of ordering it before that if so.

My recommendation is optimization of all components and a capacitive touchscreen. A custom OS based on android could possibly work well.

The users who are involved in lots of messaging have appreciated the soft keypad and easy controls as they help in faster typing of text. The software has many business application programs like Photo Browser, Handy Shell, Paint pad, Phone Torch, Opera Mini, Accu Weather, Quick Office, Google maps, PC suite and Fring. The applications are very fast in processing. Browsing becomes fast and easy due to the wi-fi and 3G connectivity. Very fine resolution on the display with saturated colors. Those who watched movies on the phone conclude that the display quality was impressive. The audio quality – the stereo speakers were loud and rich, able to simulate the acoustic depth of the movie, which contributes to 86 % of positive opinions given by people for music & video .Most of the consumers find the product to be best priced.
There are also some attributes with negative opinions, like camera, body, etc. Some customers have experienced that the camera captures grainy photos. A few customers feel that since the design is made of plastic material,it looks cheap. There appear to be some pain points with software particularly the power sucks up when using applications and there is no firmware upgrades.

On balance, Nokia XpressMusic 5800 seems an appealing proposition.

hi there im new to this so bear with me please
just got a new nokia 5580 xm and i can t find any settings menu where i can input ip address , gateway, dns and so forth

on dynamic networks it works just fine but at work i need to input them cause its static

anybody knows where and whic menu i gotta go into to do this?
