Help for choosing new phone that syncs with itunes (not iphone)!

Hi there
I'm looking to buy a new mobile and would be really interested in knowing if there are any other mobiles aside the iphone that will sync really well with itunes.
I nipped into Carphone Warehouse today and the only one they could come up with was the Blackberry. Surely there must be some others??

I'd be grateful for any good suggestions!

i tunes is very restricted as apple have surrounded the software with triggers that are only designed to sync with apple products such as the i phone and the various lines of i pods.

They obviously only want users to be able to sync their products to utilise this software they have paid for to be developed. They provide various software updates throughtout the year with costs their business too.

I have looked at the various advanced settings and can find no option to allow 3rd party hardware to be able to be synced.

Im sorry but I also do not know of nay software that has been written to assist you either. As devices have their own software written to tailer their own individual needs im not sure if market demand would push for such software.

I hope you find a resolution that suits your needs.

Take care.

Hi Lee
Thanks for your message. I'd hoped that as Itunes is now DRM free that I would be able to buy any phone and put the music that I have downloaded on to it. It seems daft to go to another online music store to repurchase everything just so that I can listen to the music I want on my phone.
I actually quite like the iphones but they are SO expensive and it seemed daft to buy one just for the sake of being able to listen to my music on it if there were cheaper options. Wish I'd never bought ipod or used itunes now as it seems to mean that the music isn't as portable as I'd hoped.

Looks like I shall have to get saving!

Thanks again for the advice.
Kim

Your very welcome.

I use i tunes for my i pod touch which in the end knocks the socks off music on a handset.

If you opt for the i phone on payg then it is quite expensive although you do get unlimited internet use for 12 months.

On some contracts their is no charge for the handset although you would need to be on a high monthly contract.
