Sony Ericsson w850i reception problem??HELP ME PLEASE!!!!

Firstly this is my first post so hi to all.
My sony ericsson w850i walkman phone cannot get a signal? It reads no network coverage,it worked fine until i dropped it-oops.Do you think it may need an aerial replaced(if so how)or maybe something else?I've de selected 3g etc and searched for new networks with no luck.I've also tried different sims.
The signal bars seem to go up and down constantly and then i get the no network coverage come up.
Driving me mad.
Thanks in advance.

It is very possible that the accident has either dislodged or damaged the ariel interface.

I would suggest you book the handset in with an engineer.

I may try and fix it myself, just wanted to make sure it was the aerial before i take it to bits but i guess i'll never know until i try.I have an identical phone with a damaged screen so i can use it for parts, think i may need a special screwdriver to get into it though?
