Time for a new phone...
For the last couple of years I've been using my first 3G phone, the Nokia N73. Since then, 3G phones have obviously come on a lot and it's about time to move on and upgrade. I am currently on T-Mobile, though that can change. I would like to stay on pay as you go because the bulk of my calls is on a work contract phone so I have no need for this phone to be pay monthly.
I use my phone mainly for the odd text and - lately - instant messaging, maybe Twitter too.
I have decided I would like to have another 3G phone; preferably one with Wi-Fi (I'd use more mobile browsing then from home), and at least a 2MP 'decent' camera, which narrows things down slightly. I have no preference to the make. £250 max I think I'd say for my budget.
First of all, should I get a sim-free mobile and then put in the sim card of the network of my choice?
All network signals are good where I live, including 3. I have thought about 3 with their latest PAYG tarrif of free skype calls, 150Mb data and Windows Live Messenger, however, the phones on the 3 PAYG website... none seem to appeal to me atm. :P
Another thing I'm unsure of is how much instant messaging actually takes from your data, if it's very little then that opens up more network choice; ones that don't charge ludicrous costs per MB.
And lastly, are there any phones to make me wait? Maybe the Skypephone S3(?), I dunno.
Edit: UK based btw.
Maybe there is something I've not thought about - let me know.
Thanks for all your advice, in advance!
